In the event of a wet-exit after a capsize, you risk
- separation from your boat and face
- the difficulty of re-entry,
- possibly while in very cold water and
- rough seas.
- Once back in, you will not be seaworthy again until
- most of the water is removed from your boat, and
- your sprayskirt is re-sealed around the cockpit rim.
